The Vista command line is not DOS. Try asking your question here:
microsoft.public.windows.vista.performance_maintenance

No version of NT uses dos

you can use either "command" or "cmd"

Download Speed Gear ( http://www.lazygame.com/sgsetup.exe ) to speed
DOS window up

That's how I would speed Vista up if I had it....
