Yes, this is very difficult (for me, at least).
I have resumed this version of the glorious GWBasic Vers. 2.02E and I like to run it on
my computer having Windows 7, 32 bit.
Well, it runs and I can work with old applications of mine...
But, the keyboard has changed the positions of keys, so I would like to have it in italian
instead (keyb it).
I have tried in many ways, withour any results

in example, I have written in command line:

KEYB IT,,C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\KEYBOARD.SYS
but it doesn't work

What can i do?
TIA
Italo (from Italy)

I'd suggest asking in a Windows group. (I don't have the slightest idea.)

AFAIR you have to load KEYBOARD.SYS and other drivers in a config.sys
file. Your command shown above should go into autoexec.bat or to the
command line after the driver is loaded (typically at startup). You
should be able to point out the config.sys and autoexec.bat files you
want loaded in the Properties of yout console.

Thank you for your useful reply.
I have to study the way to do what you suggest, as I have to use Windows Seven in the same
time for other applications...

Hi Italo!!!

Since Windows 2000 and above, Windows does not read AUTOEXEC.BAT or any CONFIG.SYS files. The best way is to get a MS-DOS computer to run GWBasic in, I got it so. GWBasic also work in IBM OS/2 Warp 3 very well, I have done some programming in GWBasic 2.23. And I also got an compiler for it, Bascom called. I'm type a DOS Fox, I have runned MS-DOS since 1995 and still do that today.

M.Lj
