I changed the name of a member w2k server (on a SBS2000
domain) and since then it won't let me login to the member
server.

The error I get is: "The system cannot log you on to this
domain because the system's machine account in its primary
domain is missing or the password on that account is
incorrect."

I've tried various MS support "fixes" with no luck. I've
even tried to change the computer name back to the old
name, but it still won't let me login. Any ideas?

Ended up finding an obscure document on MS site that
suggested making the machine a member of a workgroup and
rebooting and then making it a member of the domain
(again) and rebooting. This worked.

Try deleting the offending member server from the domain,
then adding it back in as though it were new to the
group.
