Is there any chance to get SBS2008RC running on MS Virtual PC or Virtual
Server for evaluation / trial purposes?

System Requirements for SBS2008 say it has to be a x64 machine, but Virtual
PC or Virtual Server only can emulate x32 machines as far as I know.
Please help :-)

No, because SBS2008 requires x64, and neither VPC nor VS support x64 guests.

Correct. Use VMWare Server or Hyper-V.
