Report issues after test database restore in dev

We are using AX 2009 SP1 with SQL Server 2005, both running on Window 2003
Servers. We needed to replace all the data in our dev environment with the
data (including companies, chart of accounts, security, etc) from the test
environment. To accomplish this we backed up the test db and restored it over
the dev db (using Mgmt Studio). After doing this we re-compiled, re-synced
the application, and modified the report server and EP website configuration.

Everything seemed to be fine except for EP & Role Center. Eventually, I just
re-installed EP & Role Center. This seem to fix EP but most of the default
Role Center reports are not working. I successfully re-deployed the reports
but that did not resolve the issue(s).

Some reports work like "Bank Account Balance" but most reports are showing a
default parameter error. The "CFO Profitability Analysis" and "Top Customers
by YTD Sales" reports show the following error: "Default value or value
provided for the report parameter 'Year_Company' is not a valid value". The
"Cash Inflow vs Cash Outflow Chart shows" shows the following error: "Default
value or value provided for the report parameter
'CashInflowvsCashOutflow_Company' is not a valid value". Also, when I view
these reports in the report manager I've noticed that no companies or years
are listed in the drop down lists for the parameters.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, JB.

I have the exact same problem, you're not alone :-)

"Default value or value provided for the report parameter 'Year_Company' is
not a valid value"

You have not provided the default period in either the report [by clicking modify shared web part - get parameters - giving some value as parameters ]

or,

just go to General Ledger - Set up - Periods - Period - Create a new fiscal year

i.e., let us take if your system's date is 12-12-2012 then create a fiscal year till 7/1/2012 to 6/30/2013

give desired length of period as 1
and unit as month

and process the dimension as [ledger period time dimension] which is under General Ledger Cube - SSAS

Refresh the page and let me know if you still facing the error....

Thanks,
Kannan
