I'm new to AX2009. When I tried to post an 'invoice' or 'packingslip' PO I
got the following error:

No record found in the Item/version price per cost group table. Transfer a
cost price for this item.

Anybody know how to solve this?
In Ax4, I haven't encounter that error so I'm not sure what's the difference
of posting PO in Ax2009 and Ax4.

That's because you are using a standard cost item
(In Inventory Model Group for your item, you selected the costing model to
be Std.Cost)

Therefore, you need to set up the std.cost (price) for this item.
You can do it from the Item details form - click the Price button, create
and activate a pending price.

Notice you also need to set posting accounts up, the rounding variance
account and others (you will see the error message after you set the price up)

The Items has different costing versions. In my case the sales order invoice is done in FORMER version and the credit note for the same has to be posted in LATER version. When trying to post invoice the system throws the error as "No record found in the Item/version price per cost group table. Transfer a cost price for this item."

Pls suggest!
