Not enough rights to use table 'Common' (Common). (AX2009SP1)

Hi,

When using Purchase Order / Inquiries / Totals users have the following
message :

"Not enough rights to use table 'Common' (Common)."

PurchTable calls PurchTotals form that has a Common datasource set to
"Common" table. I can't find the security option for this table. Someone
knows where to find it?

Admin user does not have this error so its a security problem.

Hi
Go to Administration module open the user group form and select the
user group under which you are having this issue.

Then click permission button browse Account Payable and open the
Tables folder and give rights to all the tables listed under that.
If it does not solve your problem then you have to set up user rights
in the Basic module.

Anyway let me know if you still get any problem.

Hi somvir,

thanks for your answer but this does not solve my problem.

the common table does not exists, it's the all table base class, so you
can't find a table with the "common" name. The users have all rights on the
Basic module.

its a bit confusing though, do one thing give this user(A) Admin
rights and open another system where you have admin rights for another
user(B) . Now on the system where you have Admin rights(B) dimnish
(Minimize) your user rights for user(A) and open Dynamics on User(A)
computer. Check when or at what point you are getting this error. By
this approach you will have all the track record.

Temporary fix - Change the "PurchTotal" form datasource "common" property
"Allow Check" property to false. If anyone have any other solution, please
post that. It's not good idea to give permission to all tables...

Hi,

You need to give access to the key AdminTables (depending on the user group,
possibly you'll want to disable access to all its child keys).

Thank you very much for pointing me to your blog, which was VERY helpful.

You may want to expand the info to include that "edit" permissions are
necessary on the AdminTables key for PurchTotals to be accessible. Granting
only "view" permissions does not work.
