Forgive me if this sounds ignorant. I am following along with the MS Official
Training Manuals trying to set up and use Dynamics AX. I am setting up the
project module with calendars, Work Centers, and have created a Project with
Activities attached. I then Forecast the work, and assign Hours to each
Activity.
My Question is....... What is next??? When I go to the Hours Journal
(Project>Journals>Hour) I either 1. arent able to select my Activities to
charge to, OR 2. I get a "work center group not found" error, and I cannot
post the journal. ( And yes... the work Centers /Groups are attached.

Projects are created as "Internal" And all I would like to do, to start,
is to be able to create a project, forecast schedule it, charge hours against
it, and then see the actual charged hours vs. the forecast hours.

Am I supposed to "convert" the Forecast to something else before I post to
it?

I cannot modify the code as of yet, due to budget constaints here. Does the
AX 2009 come with a solution to this scenario? Can anyone offer some insight?
I like to learn and discover all the things that this system can do, but I
need to get something in place for my comapany first..... :)
Thank you to all that read this and have been there, or those that can
help.....

Hi Mike, I apologize but I cannot answer your question. I hope you have already found someone who was able to help. I would, however, like to ask you about your experiences with Dynamics AX Scheduling? Does it work well for you? Also, what difficulties have you experienced? My company might be interested in a production scheduling solution and I'm trying to find out as much as possible about AX's scheduling. If you could help me out that'd be great! Thanks,
K
