Deliver Remainder problem

I have a sales order which all qty 15 of item1 got invoiced. But for some
reason, it still shows qty 1 in Deliver Remainder and On Order.The order
status still shows "Open Order".

I tried to use function -> Deliver Remainder to cancel the qty but got an
error message. How can I fix the qty and change the status to "Invoiced"?

What version of Axapta you use?

What was the text of error message?

We're using Dynamics Ax 2009 and the error message was shown as below:

Quantity ordered may not be reduced because there are not enough inventory
transactions with 'on order' status.

I had the same problem yesterday and we did another invoice for the qty thats
remainds and then a credit without sending to customer.

Hi Wayne,

Your InventTrans line is missing due to customization/standard bug. I did
faced similar issue in another module I would like to see any best practice
to handle this.

Hi Jessica,
How did you invoice it again? System seems won't allow me to post the
invoice anymore even though the order status shows "Open Order". The Posting
-> Invoice was greyed.

Do you have inventory transactions in "Open", "Reserved", "Picked" or
something else but not "Invoiced" status for those sales line?

Have you posted picking list which is not registered or may be you issued
WMS picking order?

I opened the InventTrans table in AOT and there was a record has "On Order"
as the StatusIssue. I tried to clear the StatusIssue for this record, it
only fixed the the Qty in On Order but the Deliver Remainder qty still there
and the line status still shows "Open". How could I solve this problem?
Someone suggested to change the value via SQL database, is it a right way to
do it? Any better way to handle it?

Open the Sales Order Goto Pickinglist Registration and look towards the bottom of the screen in order picking overview. find the inventory order that doesn't look right and right click on it and select go to main table. When that window opens verify that you are on the correct Inventory order and delete it. Not go back to the SO and choose functions, Deliver remainder, cancel quantity. your order should now be at the invoicing status.

Thanks Robert, it worked!

There was an activated pick list against the item so I had to cancel in picking list registration before canceling the deliver remainder.
