Can't open "Settings"-menu anymore

I've got a HTC Touch Cruise II (Iolite - T4242). It runs WM6.1. Since a
couple of days all of a sudden I can't open the windows\start\settings menu
anymore. Whenever I click it nothing happens, while any other menu's (like
messages or programs) open wothout any problem. I haven't installed any
programs recently so the problem started all of a sudden, without any
probable cause. Any ideas how i might solve the problem?

Could have been a bug in a program you in much earlier and was waiting to
launch so go your most recent installed programs and If they are not by a
trusted company exp. (Adobe, Google and, Microsoft) uninstall them to see if
the problem goes away
