I've got a w2k box with sp 3 installed. I've been trying to
write something to make use of the mlang.dll tools for character set
conversion and i've found something odd.
Mlang.dll (v 5.50.4807.2300) doesn't have any of the class ids
registered. No CMultiLanguage, no CMLangConvertString. The mlang.h
that comes with vstudio 6 defines what they should be but they're not
in the registry.
Now i've seen other references saying that i need the newer sdk
to work with it, but I've search the registry for CMultiLanguage, and it
is just not there. I unreg'ed and re-reged the dll, but no difference.
As an aside, I wouldn't mind using ConvertINetString directly,
but have no .lib file to link with (not sure if that would be part of the
sdk).
Someone else in the office who installed IE6 said that their
mlang.dll did put in the class ids for the mlang objects. What's up with
the w2k sp3 version that doesn't have them? Anybody know?
Thanks
