When using this code

What version of the Netscape browser are You using ?

What version does the Object think You're using ?

I'm using Netscape 4.6. As I say the object things the Browser is Default
and gives no other information. However, when I view in IE it gives me all
the info that I'm after

I'm not so sure about the thing beeing standard:

there should be a file containing all the browser signatures to tell the
object what to compare it to. If that signature file is not up to date, you
might find the behaviour that you describe...

I think that the browsercap.ini file on your machine or the server is not
updated
with the latest version of netscape
and so it is not recognising it
