FP2000 and Visual InterDev

I have been using Visual InterDev with an IIS 4 server with FP98 extensions.
I installed FP2000 extensions with the understanding that they were
backwardly compatible and from that point onward was unable to connect with
InterDev. FP was fine. The only way to get InterDev working was to
re-install the FP98 extensions.

Is this a known bug, and more to the point what is the solution.
