Are there any third party add-in tools available for Microsoft Visual
Interdev to allow me to edit PHP, and make it colour code my code, and get
it to recognise the PHP functions, etc. (ie. like when editing ASP, Interdev
comes up with helpful function parameters, etc.)

If not, which Windows editors do people recommend that have similar
functionality as Interdev does with ASP code.

Thanks in advance,

Dan Williams.

you could use the phpeclipse plugin (http://www.phpeclipse.org) for Eclipse
(http://www.eclipse.org).

I've tried it, but I do not get it.. Why would I want a WYSIGWY-editor for
PHP? I'm happy I could close the VB/ASP chapter of my life.
It is really very beta, because I get a lot of errors (list index out of
bounds and such... nasty!) ..
For those who like to keep their code nice and clean, and also want some
kind of intellisense (as Interdev has) use Homesite5, and download the PHP
expression builder by Marjolein Katsma (PHP_eb15_hs45.zip downloadable from
http://hshelp.com/mrspecial.html#ebphp).

You might take a look at Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, which supports
ASP, Cold Fusion, .NET, and PHP/MySQL. Not low cost but very
professional.
You can get a free 30 day trial from www.macromedia.com

Try PrimalCode 3.0 from www.sapien.com/primalcode.htm

It supports PrimalSense for PHP among other things.

In general I have two editors of preference for this type of editing,
that provides syntax highlighting:
Linux/KDE: KWrite
Windows 9X/NT/XP Textpad www.textpad.com

I believe that KWrite is extensible (allowing new syntax's to be built)
but have not performed this as yet.

Textpad I know to be extensible by "simple" syntax "dictionaries", and
will support most languages, with a massive set of files available (I
wrote the Sybase 11 one).

I hope this helps.

I like DzSoft's PHP Editor (http://www.dzsoft.com/dzphp.htm). Has a
great interface, is pretty fast and it also lets me write and debug my
code all without leaving the IDE.
