The Windows Server 2003 includes an IIS provider. Is there an equivalent
provider for IIS 5 (Windows 2000)? Is there an alternative means of
collecting data (i.e.; web site or virtual directory properties, etc.) for
IIS 5?

Hi Goshi!

WMI only works on IIS 6.0, but using ADSI to configure the webserver works
on IIS 5.0, 5.1 and 6.0.

The IIS SDK will give you more information:

Good Luck!

This has been very helpful. I've found a few scripts that have allowed me to
put together part of what I want. But I'm still struggling with a couple of
things. Specifically, I need to identify properties of the IIS ADSI object
that map to the following IIS 5 settings:
-Enable Logging checkbox (Web Site tab of the Default Web Site properties)
-Script Source Access, Directory Browsing, Log Visits and Index This
Resource check boxes(Home Directory tab)
-Execute Permissions pull down (Home Directory tab)

I found the DirBrowseFlags property but I need some help on deciphering what
the return value represents.

Is there a way to enumerate all of the properties avaialable via the IIS
object?

Thanks!
