Trouble Firing ActiveX Events from Thread

Can anyone offer help on firing ActiveX events from a thread created by an
ActiveX control. The main thread has no problem firing ActiveX events, but
I can't seem to get a new thread created by the control to fire an ActiveX
event. The thread is working fine...I just can't get it to fire an ActiveX
Event. The thread calls a function in the main thread which tries to fire
the event. The function works (it IS getting called), but the Event never
fires. When the main thread calls the same function, the event fires. I am
using Visual C++ 5 and taking an MFC approach and testing the control inside
of Internet Explorer 4.01. Please email any suggestions or ideas to
