Serious Question: Linking Up Search Engines

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a gadget or a program out ther which
allows you to link up several public search engines of your choice.

For instance, it would be great to be able to link up the search
facilities on several martial arts (or fishing) sites.
(I.e., create your own meta-search engine of choice.)
