I have a couple Access databases I would like to build a Help File into the
application and I have never attempted to add such a help feature to an
Access application. Could someone please direct me to a resource that will
provide guidance on getting a Help File into an Access database. At this
point, I intend to convert a Word document that I use as a Help document
into some format like an HTML or other format that can be associated with
Access to provide help when a user clicks on the Help menu item.
Basically, I am just looking for any popular way to build a Help file for an
Access DB, without having to spend a large dollar amount for a major Help
file authoring tool..
Thank you for your advice.

The traditional standard for Help files is to create a compiled .hlp
or .chm type file, which this program will do:
HelpMaker, at http://www.vizacc.com (it's free)
Another option, if you have FrontPage (or Word), is to create an
html file. This works well if your help file will not be too complex.
