Hi, I'm implementing a complaints database where a user inputs the nature of
the complaint as a text string.
Unfortunately, the maximum length for a text sting is 255 characters. Is
that any way to increase this?

Use a memo field.
Memo - Lengthy text or combinations of text and numbers. Up to 65,535
characters.
