I'm trying to deploy Access 2002 runtime deployment package on Windows
7.
I'm familiar with the fix for XP SP2 and Vista: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=837150

Error: The Office System Pack cannot be installed on this system
because it requires Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 or later.

I did the suggested fix to the ospfilelist.txt and I still can't
deploy on Windows 7. I tried just removing the line about
Dbmsadsn.dll, then recreating my package. I also tried removing that
line PLUS changing All to 9x on these 3 lines:
Msxml.dll
Dbnmpntw.dll
Sqloledb.dll

Neither one worked...Hellllp! Have to install on Monday. Thanks, and
happy thanksgiving!

I'm not an expert on Win7, but I believe you can start any application
in compatibility mode. Try running your setup app as if you are on
WinXP SP3.

Tom...No luck I'm afraid. I right clicked setup.exe, clicked
compatibility mode, selected WinXP SP3, and ran as administrator. Same
error.

Found the answer! on http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=908669

Locate OSPfilelist.txt
Make a backup copy, then open it

Find the lines which contain the following files
DBMSADSN.DLL
DBNMPNTW.DLL
SQLOLEDB.DLL
MSXML.DLL
AGENTSVR.EXE (this was the one additonal piece of info that did it
for me)

Rebuild the package, and you're good to go!
