Is there some body that can help me with a start-up for putting my stamp
collection into MS access.
I want to start up again after a few years with collecting stamps and
organise them into access with a scan of the stamp the only problem is that
I'm not the most experienced developer in access. I can make a few changes
in an already developed program but to develop a totally new program is hard
for me.
Please help me?

Kind regards,
Kees Mark.

In article <8u48uh$pij$1...@cyan.nl.gxn.net>, ke...@cmark.myweb.nl says...

What you propose isn't all that difficult. Access requires little in the
way of programming. I suggest you start out small, set up a simple
database and then add the scanned images and such later on. An excellent
book to get hold of is "Using Microsoft Access 2000" (or 97 or whatever)
from Que Publishing.

The Access database design wizard has several choices for collections. You
could probably find one that works for you or perhaps pick features from
each to customize your own.

Our DBPix bound image control might help you here.
It will store images highly efficiently in Access and can read images
directly from a scanner as well as by drag and drop, the clipboard or
from files. The download includes a simple sample database to get you
started, and an absolute minimum of coding is required.
If this sounds interesting you can download the control and samples
from www.ammara.com
