I have an extremeley large text file I'm trying to import
into Access 2000. The problem is that the text file is
not separated by fields. What I mean to say is that the
information in the text field is only seperated by space.
So when I get my finished imported table in Access it has
one big field column with all the data going left to
right. I cannot manipulate the data this way. I need to
know how I can have Access 2000 seperate the info going
left to right into different fields so that I may
manipulate and delete data as needed.

How are you importing the file?
If you are using the menu File, Get External Data, Import and selecting text.
The import wizard will let you select various delimiters or Fixed width. It
sounds as if you might want the fixed width option.
