You can unsend a Facebook message for both parties if you react fast enough. If not, at least you can still delete the conversation on your end. It might not be as effective, but out of sight, out of mind, right?

First and foremost, you have 10 minutes after the original message was sent to delete or edit it. Additionally, Facebook will retain a copy of any unsent message for a period of time to ensure the message did not contain any policy violations.

To start Facebook is rolling out support for unsending messages in Poland, Bolivia, Colombia, and Lithuania. Facebook hopes to roll the feature out globally as soon as possible, but details are unclear.

To use this feature, both you and the recepientneed to be using the latest version of WhatsApp. Also, thos feature will only work on messages sent within the last 7 minutes. After the 7 minutes, your message to your crush or that naughty text sent to your mum is permanent. This feature works with all types ofmessages including texts, videos, gifs, messages and documents.

To delete a conversation on the Messenger app on your smartphone, tap and hold on the conversation in your queue. From the menu that comes up, tap on Delete. Confirm the deletion when asked to complete the procedure. If it has been less than 10 minutes since you sent the message, it will be deleted on both ends; if it's been more than 10 minutes, it will only be deleted on your end.

A message will pop up at the bottom of the screen with a garbage can icon and the words Remove for you. Tap on the garbage can icon. It says Remove for you because you can only delete the message from your device. It remains on the devices of everyone else in the conversation.

Click on the conversation that contains the message you want to delete. Find the message to be deleted and click on the three-dot menu next to it. Options to remove or forward the message will come up. Click on Remove.

Although the option to unsend messages is a pretty simple concept, it took the social media giant 10 months to implement. And it appears that they only implemented the feature once users protested that CEO Mark Zuckerberg could easily unsend any messages he wanted.

You can either unsend Facebook message for everyone or for yourself. However, Facebook will notify the person if you unsend the message for them. It will be shown as Unsent message in the Facebook chat history. You can still unsend Facebook message after 10 minutes, there is no time limit to unsend Facebook messages.

Unfortunately you cannot unsend a message on Facebook without them knowing. You should only do it a few second after sending the message, because the person will see it in their message preview on their mobile screen.

If you only use the website to access Facebook, you can still delete messages after the fact, with the same 10-minute rule. Clicking on the three dots next to a message will pop-up a prompt asking you if you want to remove the message.

You can delete a message by tapping and holding the message and selecting "Remove". (In the web app, hover above the message, then select "..." and "Remove".) If you do this within ten minutes of sending the message, you then have a choice of wether to remove the message only on your side or also for the recipient.

No, If you are using the secret conversation feature of Facebook Messenger you can not use the Remove for Everyone or Unsend option, although in secret conversations you are given a timer option where you can set a timer for how long the messages should be visible before they disappear the default value is set to 10 seconds while the maximum is 1 day, even allowing you to turn this setting off.

However, in case of the archive, the previous messages will still be there, but the chat thread will be empty for deleted messages. You will get the feeling that you are chatting for the first time with that person.

If you do opt to remove a message from a conversation, Facebook Messenger will leave a tombstone in the place of the message, so everyone in the conversation will know a message was deleted. Facebook will also retain messages for a few minutes after they are unsent so that you can still report it, even if it is quickly removed. Facebook seems to think this will persuade jerks not to take advantage of the feature to harass others.

More unsend functionality is reportedly being developed for Messenger as well, including the ability to set a thread to expire after a certain amount of time, at which point all messages will be erased. Facebook is also considering letting users set individual messages in any thread to expire after a set time.

Delete unread copies and replace them with a new message- replace the sent message with a new email message. The original message will open for editing and after editing when you send your new message the original email will be deleted and replaced with the newer email.

According to Apple, the feature that comes with the new update will allow users to edit a message for up to 15 minutes after it has been sent and completely unsend the message within two minutes from the time it was sent.

In case you want to delete a message from both sides and you are past the 10 minutes window, then you can still try steps in this method. We have a trick that might actually help you. Follow the given steps and give it a try.

Both Gmail and Outlook let you unsend an email for a short period of time after you hit the send button, but the trick is you need to have the feature enabled first. Once enabled, "Undo Send" will allow you a brief window when you can successfully retract your message before it reaches its end destination. The "Undo Send" feature doesn't retrieve your email from other people's inbox; it merely delays sending your email, giving you the chance to change your mind before it's too late.

Outlook has a "Recall Message" feature that can delete an email sitting in the recipient's email inbox. However, it only works if you are sending a message to someone using the same Microsoft Exchange server (i.e., someone within your company) or to another person with a Microsoft 365 account. So, you'll still want to set up "Undo Send" for all of your other email. You'll find the directions in the next section, "How to unsend an email in the desktop version of Outlook."

Once the Messenger app is turned on, message notifications from Messenger will start getting saved automatically on Notisave. And so, if someone unsends a message on Messenger app now, you can open the Notisave app, and see the unsent message from the user.

The ability to unsend an email can potentially be life-changing if you protect yourself from sending the wrong message to the wrong person. Unfortunately, most email clients do not include this feature for all email service providers natively. Spike is the best email client for unsending email messages across Google Workspace, Outlook email, Yahoo, iCloud, etc. Spike supports it as an account so that the unsend email functionality will work perfectly.
