Dameware is a sweet little remote control program that someone can only
install if they can authenticate to your machine. I use it all day, every
day to administer servers in my workplace. Pretty much the same as
PCAnywhere. If someone was truly able to install it from their workstation,
you may have bigger issues with security. If your machine is on a corporate
network, your IT guys may have done it to troubleshoot your machine.
I know that doesn't answer your question, but hopefully this can put your
mind at ease about being hacked. Not likely with this tool.
