Printing on dot matrix printer draft fonts

I am having a problem trying to print using Printer Fonts for speed. My
application prints invoices on an Epson LQ570+ dot Matrix Printer. Even
though I installed the correct LQ570+ printer driver, when I print on it I
cannot seem to make it print using
draft fonts. Epson's internet help support is helpless. Does anybody
have a
suggestion?

I think my message was not clear enough. I cannot print using the built-in
printer font since I cannot see
any of these printer fonts as options for printing with
the LQ-570+ printer driver installed.

The driver is a graphics driver and I don't think it uses the built-in ones
at all.
The generic/text only driver will give you much more speed but I know of no
way to send embedded control codes to use the built in ones. You can send
code before the printer starts to select one type but can't change in mid
stream.
NOTE. I have not spent any time trying to send embedded codes, it may be
possible.
