There are a few ways of doing it in VB (using
winsock.dll), but none for Access that I can see.

I fetched the VB5 sample-code from John Rhoton and put it into a Access 97
mdb
maybe that sample (using purely WinSock.dll) will help ?

If converting Acc97 to Acc2k, don´t forget to change the two modules
mdlSuchePfad
mFileDIalogHook
to Access 2000 by changing the Compiler-Constantant to Acc 2000
