VB 4.0 File Modified by Ac '97 unusable by VB

I modified a table in Access '97 that was created by VB 4.0 and is used
by VB 4.0. VB now says it cannot read the table. What is the cleanest
way to solve this -- I would like a) get the table usable again b)
continue to use AC '97. If not,please tell me how to go back to Ac' 95
-- do I have to undelete AC' 97 or what?
