I am not quite sure what this means..

MS Access apparently has the following limitation...

Number of controls and sections you can add over the lifetime of the form or
report = 754

Does that mean that if you added 10 controls, then deleted them, you would
have "burned" a 10 count of controls ?

A friend of mine is having trouble with a form that has around 250 controls.
It starts giving him trouble when he attempts to save it. Sometimes it
gets to a point where he can no longer open the form in design mode. There
are no error messages, just nothing happens...

Are there any tricks to reset the number ? May he copy the fields to a new
form in order to reduce the lifetime count ?

Thanks !

Rob,

Well, I saw that 754 limit in my help file also, but I created a form
and put 800 text boxes (no labels) on, and save it. It saved fine.
Compacting the database may help your friend. There are tips for that
process all over this board and other Access boards.

Has your friend given any thought to a possible re-design? Could he/
she put some of the fields on other forms, and jump from form to
form?

Hope this helps,
Chris M.
