Hey Microsoft, usn't there away to block these stupid porn messages in your
forums? Simply make a rule that all messages that don't satrt with the word
Msoft are purged from the news server. Aare you guys working together with
the porn companies

Annoying isn't it?

1. As you see, anyone can put 'Msoft' in their message subject.

2. Just imagine how bad it would be if Microsoft (like them or not)
were actually doing nothing. I'd probably just go to the bookstore
or library every day.

3. Posting to a dozen groups at once isn't likely to endear yourself
to anyone that you would like to hear you...

else is not coming through?

Irrelevant, but I never see attachments or future dated
posts either.

I have seen plenty of both and I connect directly to the Microsoft
NewsServer (msnews.microsoft.com). Perhaps, your ISP server filters all of
these out.

If you work out that you actually filter them, let me know how.

Who's your ISP? I *LIKE* their filters (at least if they are
editable).

IOW, you have a particularly helpful server. You might be missing some
stuff that's falling victim to an overly agressive filter, but I could
put up with that!

I never paid any attention to it and I've never seen
anything that stated who, what or how it's done. I guess
it's just news.mindspring.com. About once a month or so
they even notify me about a email message containing a virus
that they detected.

Although it's extremely rare, I occasionally notice a
missing message in a thread, but that could happen for a
whole lot of reasons.

Although they are extremely annoying, they are not entirely preventable. I
made up some newsgroup rules of my own and so far I think it is working. I
have not seen any downloaded to my newsreader for a least a week now. Try
setting some rules Susan.

I just created my own rules in the Newsgroup and I don't seem to get them
download anymore to my news reader. I just put words they used plus their
email names they used. Working so far. Haven't seen any for over a week, so
it must be working if you are seeing them and I am not.
