is there a way i can have instructions pop up as a field is clicked.
i'm trying to look for an alternative to writing an instruction manual for
the database i'm creating

Hi
note there is a field property 'ControlTip text' which you can set for
hover over. Also the 'status bar text' property
could be useful. other than that the on click or on double click event
could be used to display a popup message msgbox.
