Control tiptext problem

Hi!
I have a problem with control tiptext. I,ve typed some tiptext in textfields
in a form so that users can get help about the textfield. My problem is that
the tiptext doesnt show up when i place the cursor above the textfields. I
have tried with reparing the database, tried in a new database and also
repaired the office professional application but it doesnt help. But now i
see that if i right click in the form first (so i get the shortcut meny) and
then place the cursor above the textfields i see the tiptext but that isnt a
good solution. I have Access 2007 and Windows Vista. is there some solution
to this problem?

In the design view of the form, select the controls in question and choose
"Bring to the Front" from the Format menu.

Most often this problem is just that the controls with the ControlTipText
are behind some other control -- often a rectangle that the designer thinks
is only *around* them. Selecting the controls and bringing them to the
front usually solves that problem.

However, what you say about right-clicking in the form first makes me wonder
whether the form in question actually has the focus. Are you talking about
right-clicking one of the text boxes, or about right-clicking the form
itself? Is it enough to just click on the caption bar of the form, to make
the tooltips work?

it was doing this to me too, i thought i was going mad

try just waiting for a sec, rest the curser on the field and wait for maybe
2 sec and it will come up
