My problem comes with the Medium Date format of MS Access 2007. In Windows XP
Regional Settings, we can control the Short and Long date, but something else
controls the Medium date.

My database has all date fields set as "Medium Date" in the
structure
AND on the forms with a defined format of dd-MMM-yyyy and yet one of my users
sees all dates as dd-MMM-yy which is, of course causing confusion with
inverted
days and years (i.e. 10-Jan-11).

Where/How do I set "Medium Date" formats for all my users?

You can explicitly set the formats to dd-MMM-yyyy instead of using
the named format, for one. You should also check if the "use 4-digit
years" setting for the database is turned on or off in Access
options. I'm pretty sure that setting travels with the database if
you choose the right setting.
