TEACH YOUR KIDS TO DANCE THE FLAMENCO FOR FREE WITH ¡HOLA!

All kids love to dance. But if they want to dance well, they may want some help from ¡HOLA! A Playgroup in Spanish. ¡HOLA! is inviting families and their friends to Lotus Music and Dance (109 W 27th St between Sixth and Seventh Aves) on November 3, where girls and boys ages 3 through 7 get free flamenco classes, as part of ¡HOLA!’s six-year anniversary celebration. Along with dance instruction, there will be free T-shirts, cake and refreshments. The day is broken up into two distinct dance sessions: kids ages 3 and 4 will be taught from 10:30 to 11:20am, and ages 5 through 7 will be taught from noon to 12:50pm.

Tired of roaming the mean streets for a little Halloween fun? Join Winnie the Pooh, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George and friends as the American Museum of Natural History (Central Park West at 79th St) celebrates its twelfth annual Spooktacular Halloween Celebration on October 31 from 4 to 7pm. Wander among “dangerous” dinosaurs, “eerie” elephants, and the “unearthly” universe when more than 30 of the Museum’s halls open for trick-or-treating, arts-and-crafts, fun with roaming cartoon characters, and live performances by Sheira & Loli’s Dittydoodle Works, David Grover and the Big Bear Band, Louie & Subanda, and master pumpkin carver Hugh McMahon.

CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN WITH BIG CITY MOMS

Want to give your little monsters a big Halloween treat? Then take them to the Big City Moms and Goody Two Shoes Halloween Party at Crash Mansion (199 Bowery between Spring and Rivington Sts) this Saturday, October 27 from 2 to 5pm for a frightfully fun time. The party will feature Halloween portraits, a haunted house, craft activities, face painting, costume contests (with prizes from Stokke, Inglesina, Pediped, SKip*Hop, Tiny Love, Kidville, Appleseeds and Gymboree), snacks and more. There will be a special play area for babies, and kids and adults alike can take to the dance floor as DJs D-Gruv and Sambarella spin a mix of ‘80s favorites.
