When you run chkdsk with the switch /f and NT come back and says that
chkdsk will run the next time the system is rebooted. When the system is
rebooted will chkdsk run with the /f switch.

Tommy,
When CHKDSK is scheduled to run upon reboot, the value of
BootExecute
under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager
in the registry is altered to force AutoChk.exe to run. Autochk
automatically runs with /F assumed since the kernel is just starting to
initialize when it is run.
