computer freezes overnight

Hello Irene,

Thank you for using Microsoft Technical Support.

It sounds as if you are having a problem with APM (Advanced Power
Management). What we can do to see if this is the problem go to your
Control Panel (Click on Start, then Settings, then Control Panel) and
then
double-click on Display. Now click on the Screen Saver tab and there
should be a setting towards the bottom under "Energy Saving Features of
Monitor" that says Settings, click on that button. At the bottom of
this
window there is a feature that asks when you want it to turn off your
monitor, click on the pull down and select Never. Now click on Ok. If
you
do not have any type of Power Management installed or if this doesn't
fix
the problem let us know.
