I have about
100 remote clients connecting to our NT RAS server. The Win95 clients all
appear to work fine. However, the Win98 clients only work 50% of the
time.
Here
is what happens.
The Win98
client launching the Dial up connection. The users enter their logon
name and password for the domain. The modem dials the NT RAS server and a
handshake takes place. Now, usually a WinNT Logon Box appears prompting
for user name, password, and domain. The user enters the correct data and
they are authenticated on to the domain.
The
problems occurs when the WinNT logon box fails to appear.
The handshake takes place and then the Dial-up information
minimizes next to the time with a prompt. As a result, the user is not
logged on to the domain and can not access any resources or browse the Network
Neighborhood.
How can I force the
WinNT logon box to always appear??
Thanks in advance --
John
