MDAC 2.6 & Access 97 not even Access 2000

Hi

Recently upgraded IIS 4.0 to MDAC 2.6 ADO 2.6 to be presented with a
request for an Access 97 database.
We use Access 2000 now as a standrard in our company, I could not
communicate with the 2000 database until it
dawned on me that the OBDC dialogue in the control panel made reference to
an Access 97 database.

Now having converted the 2000 database to Access 97, I sucessfully read and
displayed info from the database to the browase via aps script great!,
however the connection is very intermittent, it appears to be falling over
on the
rs.open sql,conn ,1 ,2
line for some reason.

Any ideas appreciated

On the other hand I use PWS 4.0 with ADO 1.5 and I have no problem
communicating to an access 2000 database incidently the same database as
mentioned above. Interestingly enough the ODBC dialogue in the control panel
makes reference to Microsoft Access Setup, it does not make reference to any
particular version.
