Proxy Hell with NT and Mac

Greetings,
I know it's a far fetched scenario, but I am hoping that maybe someone has
wrote some code for that god damn thing, and can toss me a few points.
Scenario 1:
I am running NT server 4.5, Ms proxy 2.0 that is networked with Power PC
(Mac) system running system 9.0.My internet setup on the Mac is Netscape
4.7.1 and Ms Explorer 4.X. I am on DSL...
Here is the trouble... while Ms explorer has no problem apart from
constantly sending requests through the proxy, which is annoying, and not
maintaining login verification on challenge and response setting in the
proxy; Netscape simply chokes.I see the status bar blinking like crazy, but
it's no go..
My PC network is fine even one Linux system has no trouble.
Any help is appreciated. Hope I can return a favor.
