I have the file MoneySounds.reg whick I downloaded yesterday from

I am attempting to run it as an administrator.

In properties, the size in 8.30 KB but below that it shows 12.0 KB (12,288 bytes).

I can't seem to find a way to run it as an administor.I am on Win 11 Pro and using Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe Version 17.0.120.3817

As a side note I am considering changing to the Apple version and running it there.  I am very dissapointed in how Windows 11 handles PDF file with the constant confusion of renaming the PDF to the random characters.  When Microsoft chose to make Windows 10 on certain  computers this became a huge problem for me.

I appreciate the work that people have done with MS Money.

Dan says to click on the 8.3. I just downloaded it, and MoneySounds.reg is      8,500 bytes.

That is an ASCII file (not Unicode).

To run that, I would open a command window as administrator. Then  run it from that.

I would note I have never had Windows 11 rename PDF files to random characters. I don't know at what point you observe this renaming.  This is one of the reports with Print as a choice in a right-click:

My third drop-down list choice for Printer is a non-Microsoft PDF printer, but the Microsoft Print to PDF is the one I tested. Then after the OKs, it asks for a filename for the PDF file.

Well I figured I have got bigger problems.  The File structure is all messed up.

I am buying a new laptop and they rarely come with Windows 11 Pro. mostly all Windows 11 home.  I will update the OS, then reinstall USMoneyBizSunset.  Please let me know where to find it.

The laptop has a battery that has swelled the case I want to get Money working first.  The Microsoft Money Plus shows its 101Gb I think that's an old problem.

I will get things going again.

Mark: the "101GB" is not problem but a quirk. https://groups.google.com/g/microsoft-money/search?q=101Gb

For laptops, if you use "windows 11" laptop as a search on your shopping website, I expect you will find something that comes with Win11 preinstalled.
