I think this is related to the recent automatic Windows Security Update that deleted the legacy version of Edge.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Everything else seems to still work, but I just can't display the Portfolio Manager.

I've tried to re-install, use other data files, etc...

This might be the final straw for me after almost 22 years of using MS Money.

No problem with Portfolio Manager in Money Sunset on W10 Home, V 21H1, newest Edge.

That's good news.  Maybe there's hope.  Problem seems to have started when KB5003173 was installed, but maybe it's unrelated.

KB5003173 installed here and Portfolio Manager seems like usual. Have you tried opening a backup of your Money file from before your problem appeared?

To further determine if the problem is with your installation or your file, copy Sample.mny from your Money installation folder to your Documents folder and double-click it to open it. Does the portfolio display in that file?

Matt, if the Sample.mny file does not show a working Portfolio, try right-clicking on the Money launch icon, and select "Run as administrator".
If that works, there may be some kind of permissions problem.

I tried a lot of different things.

1) Start a brand new money file.
2) Revert to an old backup where I knew the portfolio manager was working.
3) Repair data file.
- None of these solved the problem, so it's not a data file issue.
4) Uninstalled and re-installed Sunset edition from the downloaded installation file.
5) Re-boot a bunch of times before and in-between all the above steps.

Also noticed this which makes me think I'm somehow missing some key installed components.

I think the next step is to find another PC to install it on.  My current PC is managed by my company and has some security stuff going on so maybe that is part of it.

I will try the "Run as Administrator".

Run as Administrator yields the same results.

On the good-news side, I did discover something called "Fidelity Full View - hosted by eMoney Advisor" that I can access free from my Fidelity account that seems to do a lot of what I liked about Portfolio Manager.
Not a full replacement, but a nice, free tool.

Matt, I get some pie charts where you circled. I don't remember ever going to that page before. When I saw your screen snip I suspected I would see what you saw, but I did not.  I was glad to see that you had enabled the shortcut for the Portfolio.

Non-prioritized list of ideas:

1. Money writes to more than just the install folder. You might try uninstalling again, and then get rid of
%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Money\17.0
before reinstalling

2. Without reinstalling, you could also try logging in  as a different Windows user , and see if you create a new Money file as that user, see if the Portfolio works.

3. When you install Money the next time, you could make the install folder something other than the default "Microsoft Money Plus"

I agree. My suggestion would be to try to install and run Money on a PC you control and on a network that you control. Corporate IT people are quite likely to do all manner of things that might make Microsoft Money sad. It's what they do.

In my experiments in Linux/Wine, I tried to run Money Sunset with IE6 instead of IE7, and that’s what it looks like for me. Just thought I’d mention it in case it helps with troubleshooting.
