When you click on File > Import > Downloaded Statement the "Files of
type" dropdown box defaults to *.QIF and *.OFX files only. I'm
trying to change this behaviour to include *.QFX files as well. I
can't find a config file or a registry value to modify this. Is this
value hard coded - or am I missing something.

Hi Ameridan, do you know if Cal's registry amendment that you link to for QFX files can be amended to include PDF files? I don't want to play around with the registry and not really know what I'm doing. My bank statements are always PDFs and it would be great if I can amend the default filter to include PDFs.  Chris

Chris: Microsoft Money will not understand PDF files.  QFX files are really OFX files with some small extra tags, so Money can handle those. But it will not understand PDF.

I  guess Chris wants to link to pdf statement files.   The default is All picures.  Just click on the ▼, and select Documents (or All files) instead.  There could be a registry setting for this behavior, but I am not familiar with it.

Hi Cal,

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah I think my query is more a Windows one. All I was thinking...... I want to see all files when I go to link a PDF bank statement in the pop up window. In other words, remove the default filter so all files in the Window's folder will be displayed, not just the file extensions known to Money.

Its no big deal I guess,  I just enter *.* where the blank file name window is shown and all my PDFs appear. It would be nice to elimate that step,  thats all.

Anyhow, thanks for the reply.

Chris
