Adding a Certificate of Deposit to an Investment Acount

I don't remember the procedure to add a Certificate of Deposit to an Investment account.  I have not purchased a CD in a while.

Would someone point me in the right direction.  I Dick Watson had a procedure in the littlegreengecko site but I cant see to find it.

Would like to automate the interests a well.
