I've got a new problem which I can crudely manage but thought that there must be a more elegant way to do it.

We bought DLR in our USD investment account. All the shares of DLR can be journaled over to our CAD investment account without fees. We did this because we wanted some CAD.  Thus, we got the CAD without paying a currency exchange commission.

I looked (quickly) but didn't see an obvious way to model the transactioins in Money.

Ideas are most welcome.

Judging by all the activity, it looks like everyone is alive and well !

Thanks

I use the Int Eng version. I normally transfer the funds between the two cash accounts, but you may need to set up sells, transfers and buys, which is a bit of a pain. It prompts for an exchange rate, which it will calculate for you when transferring if you enter the two amounts (in USD and CAD). I haven't tried the suggestion from Joe, but I think I'll try it if I have the situation where I need to transfer investments rather than cash.
