Hi, I'm trying to get a listing of every ticker (symbol) and what Name it maps to regardless of if I have a current position. Why? I have had a few symbol collisions with funds I've held in the past and I wanted an easy way to see if a symbol already existed. Thanks.

I like the Portfolio.

Investment->Portfolio

I enable the Portfolio shortcut to make it easier to get there.

You can choose an existing View, or Customize one to your preferences.

Portfolio->ChangePortfolioView->ShowClosedPositions controls whether you see closed positions, which willl show in gray.

Cal's idea matched mine.   You'll probably settle on a customized Holdings view.  Also...

For Sunset Money/Money Plus, by activating “show closed positions” in Settings > Investment Settings > Portfolio Manager (button) > Display, you will not only be able to view performance data on investments that may have been sold/transferred, but you will still be able to view performance data (and symbols) for shares with zero or near-zero quantity (in distinguishing dim grey).

That's how I use Portfolio as well, including the shortcut on the toolbar.

Without downloads from the Microsoft servers, many Portfolio columns continue to work because the values are computed from transaction history and quotes.  Quotes can be entered by hand, or you can use the PocketSense scripts to download quotes.  Most other columns will no longer work, because the data for those is downloaded rather than computed from history and price quotes. Here are columns that I find to be useful, and which work without the Microsoft servers. Symbol, Name, LastPrice, Quantity, MarketValue, Gain, PriceAppreciation PriceAppreciation, TotalAnnualizedReturn, TotalReturn-1Week, TotalReturn-4Weeks, TotalReturn-3Month,TotalReturn-YTD, TotalReturn-3Month,TotalReturn-YTD, TotalReturn-1Year, TotalReturn-3Year, TotalReturn-AllDates, LastTransactionDate, Memo, %OfPortfolio, AverageCost, Commissions, Currency, CurrencyCode, CallDate, BondType.

There are probably some others related to options that will also work.

Some columns, such as %Change and TotalChange will show blank. Others, such as DividendYield and LastTransaction, will display stale data.

 To edit which Portfolio columns are used, do Portfolio->ChangePortfolioView->CustomizeCurrentView->PortfolioColumns

Thank you all for the guidance. That worked out as you said.

Next step, after 25 years, deciding whether to clean out old quotes (yep I'll save a copy of the file beforehand) and/or remove old investments. I will take a look at the other threads as well to understand the pros/cons.

RCS: I suggest you do not use the Money Investing->Portfolio->WorkWithInvestments->DeleteAnInvestment
Instead feel free to blank the symbol in the Details for the investment. You can get to the Details by right-clicking a reference to the investment, such as in the Portfolio.

If you do  DeleteAnInvestment, you want to blank the symbol first. Sometimes symbols get re-used, and you might have to resort to a special trick to undelete an investment so that you can blank its symbol.

I suggest that you not try to remove old investments. Its more that you just hide them so they don't show up in drop-down lists.
