Sean, I hesitate to take advantage of your edits, as I have edited my tables to my liking.   I don't think I have a Schedule 1 though.   Here is a description of all my edits:

I took the time to rebuild the US tax table to make it more relevant in 2025. W-2 now has State disability insurance added.  1040 has been cleaned up and now there is schedule 1. Schedule A,B,C,D  has also been cleaned up. I recycled the TFX RNUM tax codes but I have no idea if it will import correctly into Turbo Tax. The point of doing this was to have a more accurate tax line print out for tax prep. I did not go through the rest because I dont think there was much changed since 2003.

It was your article that inspired me to take a look at the tax table. From doing this. I learned that changing the name in the table is fine if you keep it under 24 characters. RNUM only corresponds to the tax codes used in the now defunct txf standard. You can literally create your own table to be used on what you need for your household to deduct and final tax reporting. I am now planning to build a new 2025 from scratch using my own assigned RNUMS and clean up the redundancy that MS did in the table. Example on entry for SEP SIMPLE Keogh contributions instead using three for something that is getting reported on the same tax line. Schedule A only need one medical entry now since all medical deductions are classified as the same now. Alot of deductions are gone from the the great 2017 reform act need to be removed.   Anyways ways anybody feel free to try out the modified version. But there is a better one coming on the horizon.

So instead of reinventing the wheel. I just clean things up. I mainly just moved the 1040 itemized deductions to a  Schedule 1 that has been missing previously. Schedule A has been cleaned up but I did create a Health Insurance expenses line just for Ameridan. I also created Roth IRA, Roth IRA qualified in 1099R just like how Ameridan likes it. Schedule C EZ has been removed. Outdated deductions have been removed. Various 1099 forms brought up to date. Anybody who wants to build there own table and need information on formatting. This website https://taxdataexchange.org/docs/txf/v042/index.html is the place to go for info. I hope this is useful to some of you diehards refusing to give up on Money Sunset.
