Problem importing downloaded QIF files from bank

Just recently I have been having problems downloading and importing QIF files from my bank.  That is, importing my bank statements.

The program imports the statements but does not load them into the accounts.

It leaves them as Transactions to Read on the Account List.

When I right click the relevant account, it does not allow me to Read the statement or Delete the statement.

It does nothing, just leaves the message Transactions To Read for that account.

I have tried File Repair without success.

I wonder if it is connected with a recent Windows update as this did happen in the past and a buggy .dll file was to blame.

Anyone have any ideas or solutions?

Your first step should be to open the QIF file in a simple word processor (notepad, notepad++) and make sure that the relevant data is present and that the file is constructed per QIF standards.
