Hello everyone!
(and big wave to Nathan)

I had installed Nathan's fix back in April/May to get Money working on Tahoe. I had a feeling that upgrading to Golden Gate was going to break stuff and sure enough, it did.

When I click on the Money icon to start it, I get
"line 55: /users(removed a lot of paths)/wine/bin/wine : Bad CPU type in executable."

I purposefully ran Money before upgrading, just to confirm that it had been working.

I know it might be awhile before you can take a look Nathan, but just wanted to let you know that it breaks stuff.

Always willing to help out as I can, still being a Mac neophyte.

Kindest regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Sorry to hear about the trouble, but the error sounds very specific: either a problem with Rosetta 2 or Rosetta 2 is missing? I run Linux primarily so I haven’t upgraded my mac yet.

See if you can install Rosetta 2 manually (a google search will help with this) and/or run the msmoneysetup installer again if installing Rosetta doesn’t work. Money is an x86 program, not an ARM program, so Rosetta is what does the translation. I know the community is aware that Rosetta 2 is being phased out starting on the next version of MacOS after Golden Gate, not sure what the solution will be.

I’m on a family getaway for the weekend so I’ll be away for a bit.
Let us know what you find, and I’ll check in again in a few days.
Nathan

If anyone else has this problem, just go ahead and re-run Install and that should reinstall Rosetta 2.
