Hello,

I am in the process of installing MS Money MacOS Edition on 2 different MacBooks in different locations, one running Monterey and the other one running Sequoia. The idea is to be able to use (and update) the same file (latest version of it) on either computer, but not simultaneously - I assume the way to do this would be to copy latest file version from one computer to the other as and when I need to. I would like to know wheter this is possible and whether there are any problems I need to keep in mind.

I have done a search on the different Money Group Conversations, but I have not found a specific thread relating to this - I would appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Chiti

I use MSMoney on a couple devices.   You have to sync the *.mny file that is your data.    I have had success with syncing things through the cloud (cryptomator and gdrive) or thru a local NAS system using FreeFileSync or similar.  (windows and linux)

The caveats:  You can NOT be in the MSMoney file at the same time on both computers.   You have to be diligent about exiting MSMoney and allowing the file sync to occur.  Generally this isn't a problem as I usually have a primary computer I use and it is a 'focused' change when I go to the other PC to get something accomplished.
