Chase bought my bank First Republic (FRB) last year when interest rates caused banking problems at some banks, and Chase just finished moving the FRB accounts to Chase.

I had been successfully downloading FRB's bank transactions in OFX via Pocketsense, and while Chase offers a variety of downloads online--xls, csv, QFX, QIF and QBO--it does not offer OFX.  Not a problem to download/import manually, but it would be nice if Pocktsense could collect the data for me.

Does anyone know if Chase still has a hidden OFX door, and if so, what the Sites entries might be?  the old OFX directory is gone, didn't find at Moneydance or Gnucash either.

QFX is a similar format as OFX (maybe the exact same).   I've always used those.    The hard way is to change the extension from .qfx to .ofx and then open it.   The easy way is to setup your PC to automatically register QFX files as being a MSMoney file.

As to having Chase automatically download with pocketsense, I can't answer that one.   So many institutions have eliminated the direct connect feature, it wouldn't surprise me if Chase was one of them.

Thanks, I have no problem downloading and then importing QFX/QIF files (not sure why bother changing the extension to OFX, Money will import as is).  I was only asking if there is still a possibility of downloading with Pocketsense, which requires OFX bank identifiers for SITES.dat.

The Chase Pocketsense download stopped working for me a while ago, so as far as I know, there's no back door to use.  You had to go to a special link online to activate the feature, but that has since been removed.  I think it's over for Chase.

Citi and Amex are the only two still working for me with Pocketsense, after losing Capital One, Chase and Discover.

I've tried PNC, but couldn't get that one to work.

PNC works fine, but you don't use web access credentials.

SiteName : PNC        AcctType : BASTMT     #bank accounts      fiorg : PNC      fid  : 4501      url  : https://www.oasis.cfree.com/4501.ofxgp      bankid : 041000124 #use appropriate routing number and use different login and PIN than web access      brokerid :      appid :      appver :   mininterval :

Thanks all, I suspected as much.   looks like manual downloads for me going forward.

Thanks for including your data for PNC; I had an incorrect fid copied from the previous entry.  SSN was the login, and the web access I had received in the mail, so those all worked.  It was a bit of a trial and error figuring out that Spend and Reserve were both option 1, checking, while Growth was option 3, money market fund.

I've stopped using Discover, and now if I can just stop using Chase and use Citi instead, I'll be automating everything again.

Thanks again!
