Here’s a couple of transactions that are not being imported from the CVS.  Historically in my MSMoney file they were just recorded in “Cash Transactions” as:Taxes>Foreign TaxesFeesThey were not tied to an investment asset.

My inclination is to generate an <INVEXPENSE> for the ADR/ADS fee. They do provide a symbol. Ideally that would let Money analyze the net yield better. I have not checked to see if Money makes use of the info.

The Foreign tax withheld thing is probably best to turn into a cash-account thing as it was with the Fidelity downloads. I am less sure of that.

I do have some of those to study.

I did this as a separate thread because it was hard to track the different trains of thought.

I will put F2O in the subject to alert those who want to follow or ignore.

How about
ADJ FOREIGN TAX PAID TAX RCLM PD:02/18/25 as of Feb-18-2025 NOKIA OYJ ADR EACH REPR 1 ORD NPV (NOK) (Cash)

What OFX was generated for that?

I have switched my plan... first do it as Fidelity did, and then add the investment expense for ADR/ADS fee later.

Sorry, don't work on "ADJ Foreign Tax"
I was unable to locate the ofx for "ADJ FOREIGN TAX PAID TAX RCLM"  I must have entered it manually when my Cash Transactions didn't balance with Fidelity.  It was dated 1/21/2026 and I didn't get a download that date.   You know why...   That transation was not tagged "E".  It is in my Fidelity Activity & Orders.

Thanks,
Tom (Texas)

Please try the F2O.py f2o_beta1D.zip.

I may have screwed things up, but it looks OK to me.

Work with copies.... and make sure that IGNORE_BEFORE_YYYYMMDD is old enough to catch the entries.

I tested with IGNORE_BEFORE_YYYYMMDD="20250116"  -- over a year ago. I had a more recent number, and was wondering why I was not finding matches.

Got the sign wrong. f2o_beta11G.zip has that fixed.

Looks really good.  My mny Cash Transactions balance to the number I see in Fidelity.   The "Other Expense" action is asking for a Category when I open the transaction since it is blank.  I'm not sure if a default will be set by Money.  I don't know where to modify Money actions.

I can live with the blank if you don't see an easy update.

Good Job!

I think <INVTRAN> will be like a dividend, but will take money rather than supply money. So no category per se.

For Foreign Tax, there is a NAME  "Foreign Tax". So you will manually set category the first time, and I am hoping Money remembers that category the next time it comes up.
